Privacy Policy
Demonstration document for the FoodTrustline product build.
1. Data we process
Account details (name, email, role), organization records (legal name, registration number, addresses, contacts), product and batch records, traceability events, transfers, certifications, uploaded documents and recall records.
2. Public versus private data
Public verification pages show product identity, origin region, producer name, certifications, journey stages and recall status. Contracts, internal logs, pricing, private documents and personal contact details are never shown publicly.
3. Retention and immutability
Traceability events, transfers and recall records are append-only and retained for audit purposes. Corrections are recorded as new events rather than deletions so chain-of-custody history stays intact.
4. Sharing
Records are shared with counterparties in a batch's chain of custody and with certification or inspection bodies where an organization grants access. We do not sell data.
5. Security
Access is role-based. Administrative actions are logged in the audit trail. Documents can be marked private so they are visible only to the owning organization and authorised reviewers.
6. Your choices
You can update organization and profile data at any time from Settings, request export of your records, or ask us to close an account. Traceability records already relied upon by counterparties are retained in anonymised form.
